Brossard Ecocentres, Bulky Items, Leaves and Christmas Trees

The 3 ecocentres open to Brossard residents, what ID to bring, and how to get rid of bulky items, branches, leaves and Christmas trees.

Updated October 31, 2026 · 1 min read

Old furniture, renovation materials, branches, appliances: not everything goes in the bin. Here’s where to take what when you live in Brossard.

Ecocentres open to residents

  • Écocentre Marie-Victorin: 1140, boulevard Marie-Victorin, Longueuil
  • Écocentre Payer: 5050, rue Ramsay, Saint-Hubert
  • Écocentre Saint-Bruno: 600, rue Sagard, Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville

Ecocentres only accept materials from residential sources. Check the hours and the list of accepted materials before you go, and arrive at least 30 minutes before closing: on busy days the line can close early.

What to bring

  • your driver’s licence;
  • the vehicle registration certificate;
  • proof of residence in Brossard.

The limits

  • 12 free visits per year per address;
  • materials sorted by category, up to 2.5 m³ per visit;
  • vehicles up to 7.5 m long, trailer included; dump trailers are not accepted;
  • unloading by hand.

Branches and trunks

To limit the spread of the emerald ash borer, branches and trunks must be taken to the Marie-Victorin or Payer ecocentres. Do not put them in the garbage bin or with green waste. Cutting down a tree often requires a certificate: see our guide on tree cutting and pools.

Bulky items

Bulky items that can’t be recovered, such as a mattress or a couch, can be placed next to your garbage bin on collection day. Mattresses must be wrapped in a bag. Put your items at the curb after 8 p.m. the night before or before 7 a.m. on collection day. If your pickup was missed, notify Services Brossard before noon the next day at 450 923-6311.

Refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners

These appliances can be picked up from your home for free, by appointment, through the recovery program offered by the City.

Leaves and Christmas trees

Leaves and garden waste are picked up during green waste collections, and natural Christmas trees during a special collection after the holidays. Dates change every year: check the Brossard collection calendar.
