Which transit agency serves Brossard?

Brossard is one of the cities in the Longueuil agglomeration. As the City of Brossard notes, its bus service is provided by the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL), which serves the entire agglomeration. The Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM) plans the metropolitan network and sets fares for it, while exo operates bus routes in the outer suburbs, some of which end in Brossard.

The RTL network overhaul in Brossard (August 2026)

On August 24, 2026, the RTL rolled out a redesigned network in Brossard’s RST and MNO sectors. According to RTL announcements, the main changes are as follows:

New routes

  • 114: high-frequency all-day route on boulevard de Rome, between the Brossard terminus and the Panama terminus, via avenue Tisserand. It replaces the former route 214.
  • 901 – Taschereau: ARTM metropolitan route operated by the RTL, between the Longueuil terminus and the Georges-Gagné terminus in Delson, via boulevard Taschereau, with a stop at the Panama terminus.

Modified routes

  • 14: runs the full length of boulevard de Rome.
  • 33: goes via rue Milan and serves the Matte and Radisson sectors.
  • 44: extended to Quartier DIX30 and Brossard station.
  • 47: takes over the loop of former route 46.
  • 77: goes via avenue San Francisco and is extended to Place Java.

Routes 33, 44 and 47 also saw increased frequency, especially off-peak.

Withdrawn routes

Routes 31, 41, 43, 46, 49, 214 and T48 were withdrawn. According to the RTL, most of their stops are covered by the modified routes or by the RTL on-demand service.

This list is not exhaustive: other RTL routes serve Brossard. For schedules and the exact path of each route, use the RTL trip planner.

exo buses at the Brossard terminus

The Brossard terminus is also the REM connection point for exo routes from neighbouring municipalities, including Chambly, Carignan, La Prairie, Candiac, Saint-Constant, Saint-Philippe and Sainte-Julie, according to the terminus map published by the RTL in April 2026. However, in 2026 exo announced an overhaul of its network in the Le Richelain–Roussillon sector that changes some route numbers and paths. Check the exo trip planner for current routes.

Which fare should you use on the bus?

Since July 1, 2026, the ARTM has withdrawn the transitional fares that combined the REM and certain South Shore buses. Two main families of fares are available:

Fare (regular, ARTM 2026)PriceModes covered
Bus, 1 trip (zones A, B and C)$3.75Bus only
Bus, monthly (zones A, B and C)$119.00Bus only
All modes AB, 1 trip$5.00Bus, REM, metro, train
All modes AB, monthly$170.00Bus, REM, metro, train

If you take the bus to the REM and then go to Montreal, the All modes AB fare is the right choice. If you only travel by bus, a Bus fare may be enough. If in doubt, the ARTM’s fare selector, on its website or in the Chrono app, will tell you which fare fits. The reduced Bus monthly fare is $71.50.

Accès 65: free buses for Brossard seniors

The City of Brossard offers residents aged 65 and over free RTL travel outside rush hour:

  • On weekdays, from about 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and after 6:30 p.m. (check exact hours with the RTL).
  • Unlimited on weekends and holidays.
  • Requirements: be 65 or older, have a photo OPUS card ($15, valid 7 years) and proof of age and residence.
  • Renew every year before December 31.
  • The program does not cover the REM.

RTL on demand

In some areas, the RTL offers an on-demand service that takes you to a bus route, terminus or train station. Since August 2026, its service area in Brossard has been expanded and it runs 7 days a week, from 5:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Bookings are made with the RTL.
